Keeper for summer use.

I looked at this tent for a long time trying to figure out whether it was as perfect as it looked, but it was hard to tell from the single Amazon photo and the lack of reviews. I finally just bought it. And I like it. When summer camping, I want shade and shelter from the rain, but I'd rather not put up two structures. This tent does both -- it's a tent and a shade/rain shelter/screen room in one. Pretty cool. The front vestibule doubles the space provided by the tent alone. And if it's rainy or hot, you can cook and chillax in the vestibule. You may have to go to other sites to see the rainfly, but it is actually taller than the tent and adds a good 8 feet of USABLE space with large windows that open to screens in front of the tent. And the whole thing packs down small and light at about 20 lbs. Maybe not backpacking weight, but very light for comfort/car camping.It was easy for me to put up solo (female, 5'2" and 105 lbs), even the rainfly. Tent is not so high that I can't put on the extra large rainfly myself. The tent comes with really nice aluminum poles and tent stakes. Cheaper tents come with cheapo stakes that I wouldn't use anywhere. These are nice. The tent is well made. My only concern is that the rain fly presses down on the top of the tent, which is supposed to be ventilated and there should be a space between the two. Either I need to change the staking slightly, or it's a design flaw. But frankly, it's such a totally cool tent that I'm not sure I care. Guess I'll find out if it's a problem when it rains.Not tall enough for most guys, but I was able to stand up in the vestibule area and the front part of the tent. Has five gear pockets all around inside the tent and you could install a gear loft/attic if you don't mind losing the head room. Not as spacious as some of my other enormous comfort tents (like the Coleman Instant 8 that I will continue to use in colder weather), but for quick and light set up of my entire camp this summer, I'm looking forward to trying this.April 23, 2012 update: I just tried this for 2 nights in Northern Arizona in April. It really is a great tent -- you can completely skip a screen house shelter, unless you must put one over a picnic table, Yogi. My only issue, is that there is no way to seal it all up nice and tight to keep in any warmth. It was in the low 40s at night and the top 2/3ds of the actual tent/sleeping compartment is mesh (except for the ceiling itself). The rainfly/vestibule only goes down to about 3-4" from the ground. Yeah. So all the warm air in the sleeping area goes up and out the mesh walls while the cold air from the outside comes in all around the tent and vestibule. Even with a tent heater (yes, I'm a wimp), there was just no way to keep in the warmth -- it's easier to heat the giant Coleman Instant 8, because it can be zipped up tight all around. So, unless you are a lot heartier than I am, this is definitely a summer tent. Also, although I love the side windows, I don't know where they expect you to dress in this thing -- no way to close them.
