Product Description

This is, possibly, the best tent under $200. Our Uber Lite is made exclusively for CampingMaxx for Boy Scouts of America by a major European Company (but made in China, where else ?). We wanted a relatively light weight, 4 season tent which can withstand moderately hostile environments. The aluminum poles provide the strength to support a light snow load, the rain cover is 1000 mm and provides a dry living area under almost all conditions. The floor is a new light-weight material, but super strong. The seams are all thoroughly sealed. The double vestibules have zippers to protect your gear. This tent can be set up in under 3 minutes from start to entry. The living area measures 84" long by 61" wide, so 2 adults have plenty of room. The interior ceiling is 45" which provides comfort even in high winds. We are VERY proud of this tent and consider it to be the flagship of our new Uber Lite line, which took almost 20 years to develop. Watch for our other Uber Lite products debuting by this coming Spring.

5Very light for a 4 season tent
By The Linux Colonel
This keeps the wind out in the winter, the vestibules are huge on this thing, and it's small enough for backpacking (for 2 to fit in, and 1 to carry.) I don't think I could find anything else that appears to be this quality for this price. And I have tried it in the winter around 0 degrees F, and it did a wonderful job. The inside of the tent warmed up just because of our breathing in less than a 1/2 hour to somewhere near room temp or a little colder. I'll post pictures when I can find where I put them! Also, it seems to get hot in the summer time, but if you open both vestibules, it helps a bit. I suppose nothing is truly good for all 4 seasons in 1 product... Anything else I've seen is either a few hundred dollars more, or much heavier, or both.. and probably have the same drawback in the summer months when it's really hot outside. Seals out the weather in the winter though!

5Good tent for the money
By Mike
I bought this tent and was pleasantly suprised. I tried it out the first night in 20 degree weather and 20 to 25 mph winds. It held up fine and kept the wind out. I will say that in extreme cold weather like this you need two people to keep it comfortable inside the tent. One person inside keeps it around 25 degrees warmer than the outside air temp. It stayed around 46 degrees when I was out of my sleeping bag. When I got in my sleeping bag the temperature plummeted and I lost the battle and just totally covered up inside my bag. It stayed maybe 7 degrees warmer than the outside air. It was very windy though so it may do better in calmer winds. With two people out of their bags its quite comfortable inside. I mean very comfortable. It warms up nicely and holds the warmth. I was very suprised. The tent is designed so that it also will vent well in the summer as well. It has two huge doors on either end and two triangle shaped vents on top. The tent is well made and very light weight. It is about 6.5 lbs and packs up very compact. The fly encloses two large vestibules, big enough for a pack and boots on each end and still be able to enter and exit without moving gear around. The tent stakes are strong metal that go in the ground easy and hold well, they include two extra stakes. The bottom has taped seams and it is a tub design the material i think will hold up well over time. The tent has two pockets on each side about six inches by four inches. There is a square net that attaches in the top for miscellaneous items and you can hang various items from each of the four attachments if you like. The poles are aluminum and fit together very precisely and they are quite strong. The zippers are of a good quality. Setup was a snap, it takes just about 5 minutes to set up from start to finish. The fly is a bright green and the tent is light grey. The attachments vary in type. The ones that come in contact with the ground are metal. The ones that attach to the poles are plastic clips. There is a tie in the center top of course because a snap cant be used there. The fly attaches to the metal rings with plastic clips so there are no annoying ties. It has two strong stabilizers one on each side that are adjustable.Overall this tent is a well thought out design. Its light weight and compact size are a plus for backpacking. It holds heat much better with two people than one. Its large vents truely make it a four season design. It is constructed well and is so easy to setup. The price is far less than most other four season tents. I can only think of one con for this tent and that is the color of the fly, I wanted something a little more toned down maybe a light grey are darker green, But thats all a matter of taste. So I gave this tent 5 stars for the light weight, quality construction, ease of use, true four season design, and a very low price.

5Good tent for the money
By xXxDOYLExXx
Okay first off you have to think of the price range, this tent is CHEAP for a 4 season tent. So we obviously can't compare it to the quality of $600 dollar tents. Okay now that is said:First off the customer support was good, he threw in a bottom blue sheet for the ground for me because I was kind of weary about trying to find one that would fit. And it worked great. The tent is very light, hiking with it would be easy. Setting up the tent was quite easy, I could do it in about 8 min by-myself. The poles are sturdy and nice, only two poles to worry about. The general design of the tent was laid out nice too. It's more of a 3 season tent, but it could work for a 4 season. It will structurally withstand snow, but it might be chilly. One of the first things I did with this tent was set it up before a storm, needless to say it's waterproof. Not a drop in the tent with the cover on. It has two doors for easy access, mesh top for air, zippers for the window flaps. If it came to winter time, it would be good I imagine, might not be as warm as other expensive 4 season tents...but this good for what it is.I'm kind of short, and this fit me and my tiny gf in it just fine, possibly room for a 3rd member if it came down to it, though it might be a bit uncomfortable for three unless it's a child.I guess I only have one complaint, not sure if I can justify it or not, because this is meant for hiking, thus it's suppose to be light. The materials are very light. You would have to be careful not to poke any holes into it on the sides. There was a small nick on the door that was shipped to me, I just covered it up with tent tape and worked fine. So if your one of those people that are careful, this is the tent for you, if your one of those people that just through all your gear into a big garbage bag and hit the road and are rough, I would not get this tent.I'm careful, and I'm extra careful with this tent. Why? Because it's worth the trade off for the price. I rather spend this small amount for a good tent and the only trade off is that it's nimble, compared to a $600 tent that I can tear it about and not worry about it. I figured regardless I replace my tents every few years or so anyways, so why not. It's not going to break under nature, but YOU might break it.Surprisingly these are one of the tents you CAN actually get back into the package. It's very small and compact. I will post pictures next time I take it out and give updates on my experiences.Overall I recommend this tent so far. It's a good bang for you buck. Again I'll update and see how it holds up.
