A great choice for taking the family into the great outdoors with a 6' height dome tent, two rooms, to sleep up to 7 people. The Big Bear base is 14ft. X 9 ft. with center height 72". Two Dutch "D" style doors for easy entrance and exit, two windows and roof for visibility and cross breeze. The hanging divider curtain creates two separate rooms. Attached fly and pin ring system make set up easy for this comfortable family dome tent. Includes stakes, hanging pockets (2), a mud mat and storage duffel for transport-ability.

Excellent family tent

My wife and I have two girls, 4 years old and 2 years old. We were looking for a tent big enough to accomodate the 4 of us, with room for a pack-n-play. After a lot of research I settled on the Wenzel Big Bear tent. We tested the tent by camping in our back yard. The tent instructions suggest that two adults assemble the tent. The first step is to peg down all four corners of the tent, but I found that by not pinning down the back two corners the tent had enough flexibility that I could assemble the tent entirely on my own and then just peg down the two back corners. The assembly instructions are sown into the bag that the tent comes in and are clear and well written. I had the tent fully assembled in 20 minutes, entirely on my own. Even with a pack-n-play, a full size inflatable matress and a kids Elmo couch in it the tent had plenty of room to move around.The tent includes a mud mat and a wall for separating the tent into two rooms. I didn't use the mud mat, but I did install the room divider just to see how easy it was and how well it worked. I had it in place in about 20 seconds. There are two storage pouches in the tent too. They are of a good size and useful for storing flash lights, alarm clocks (or sippy cups).The fly can be rolled back on both ends of the tent and secured in place in good weather to provide added ventilation or afford a great view of the night sky. The netting keeps out the bugs. I rolled it back to see what it was like with them open but we closed it for the night, which was fortunate as it rained. The flys did not leak at all and the tent remained totally dry.The tent includes an e-port for running a power extension cable into the tent but we did not use the feature.This is an outstanding family tent. Easy to assemble and very roomy.Pros:Easy to assemble, even for one personGood instructionsExtremely roomy (in fact from the outside it looks much smaller than it feels from the inside!)Doesn't leak - important in a good tent :)The included partition allows for dividing the tent into two roomsRoll back flys that provide added ventilation or night sky views is a nice featureA window at each end of the tent allows for excellent and controlled air flow through the tentThe e-port for running power into the tent could be a useful feature on more modern camp sitesCons:Only one and it's a really small one - the fabric around the door zipper gets caught in the zipper quite easily, but it's simple to release and not a huge drawbackThis is an excellent family tent, well designed and manufactured and great value for money.

We were very happy with our Wenzel Big Bear tent purchase. Went up very easily...no rocket science here! We had 2 adults and 2 kids, our dog, and all of our clothing bags and still had plenty of walking room. Love that you can stand straight up in it, and just a slight duck to get in the door. The zipper had a tendency to get caught on the lining the first day, but then after that it didn't again...perhaps after being set up for a day or two, it stretched it out of the way enough so that it no longer got in the way of the zipper. ?? Don't know but it hasn't given us any problem since then. Didn't care much for the mud mat...it is too lightweight and just useless really. We ended up tossing it aside and just using a cheap mat from the dollar store which worked out much better. We were a little confused about the 5th pole...was it for the fly? Couldn't figure that one out, but were fine without using it. Breakdown was also easy, but HOW did they get it all back into that duffel bag??? Maybe I need to take a class on how to re-fold and pack a tent, but that sucker does NOT want to get back in there! In summary though, we are very pleased and the price (I paid $100) can't be beat for such a roomy and well-made tent.

This is an awesome tent, my family and I used it to camp at Mt. Madonna near Gilroy, Calif. We are a family of 3, my parents are average size about 5'6" - 5'8". I am about 6'6"... 6'7". I dont have to duck as much as our old 4 person tent. I am still underage so ya, if you were wondering. Plenty of walking room, with 2 sleeping mats, and the wenzel blue foam mat. 3 suit cases a portable generator, and our shoes. We didn't use the room separator and doorstep mat because we accidently put the tent up, and didn't see that they were under the tent until we packed and left. The door zippers puller things are bungee cord like. Would totally recommend to any family of about 7 or under, or if you have really tall people in your family
