Product Description
The Copper Canyon 4 is a great cabin-style design for a 4 person tent with its vertical walls maximizing comfort and livability; ideal for the use of cots. The floor area is 64 sq ft with a center height of 7’ making this a great amount of space for 4 people! The walls are made of 75D poly 1200mm and 68D poly no-see-um mesh. The fly is a 75D Stormshield polyester 1200mm. The frame is 16mm/12.7 fiberglass + 19.5mm steel. This spacious and sturdy tent will allow the whole gang to hang out, stretch out, and sleep well.

By Mark Rocket
Overall, this tent is a good value for the money. One of the better aspects of this tent is it has a solid frame support: heavy fiberglass rods in the top and steel on the side. Moderately priced tents are notorious for cheap/flimsy rods that break in the field, so it was a relief to see Eureka had not skimped where it counts. Overall quality of manufacture is excellent and typical of Eureka in days past. Some reviewers have rated the Copper Canyon series negatively as it uses the same weight fabric on the bottom as the rest of the tent. After some checking, this is common on nearly all Eureka tents and I would have never given it a thought, but had the concern due to other reviews. Positives on this tent are the large screen windows in all four sides and the small zip for a power cord. Overall, the design is somewhat spartan and there are few other notable features. On the negative, the screen windows are about two foot off the ground and no other ground level ventilation. So, I would recommend any use of more than one night include a cot to elevate you off the ground to avoid the buildup of dampness. I have had and still own several tents for various uses. I would label the Copper Canyon a "car camper" where you drive to a spot and set up - ie a campground. It is well suited to casual camping and its tall straight walls will facilitate that and make for a comfortable trip. I would not recommend it for backcountry or hard/extreme weather conditions and that is not what family tents are for -- an open, windy area will give a tent of this design a fit for sure. So, it needs to be in a wind sheltered area. Overall, a good tent for a moderate price with excellent manufacture quality and materials.

I've been using Eureka tents since I was in the Boy Scouts, and they never let me down. They never leak, they can take a pounding, and they are always reliable. I recently had to upgrade to a larger tent and decided to check out the Copper Canyon line. It is a dream for a serious camper. There is enough room to have a sleeping bag, a chair, AND stand up fully in the tent. It has weathered a few storms without issue, and it sets up and breaks down in minutes. The bags that come with the tent are perfect in that you're not sitting there swearing trying to get it all to fit - there is plenty of room! The only downside is that the mesh in the top cannot be closed with a zip fly, so if you're camping in the cold, you want to look elsewhere. It will not retain heat. The plus side of this is, in summer, you have the best ventilation even invented. You get some great air flow in this tent, something I always wanted in their other tents during the hot summer months. For my needs, I could not ask for anything else. It does everything better than I had hoped. The Eureka name lives on! Thumbs up!

Worth the money! Nice to be able to stand up in a tent instead of having to crawl around! Would purchase this tent again if needed.
